Engine Regulations & Environmental References

With an ever increasing demand for emissions accuracy, there is now a greater need for uncompromising quality assurance with regards to validated test data and compliance reporting.  This has lead Assurance to embrace all of the new technological advancements in the industry to develop custom test method procedures for expansive emissions improvements.

In order to reduce emissions, modern engines carefully control the amount of fuel they burn.  For every poundof fuel that is burned there is a subsequent consumption of 17.2 pounds of air.  By utilizing our industry knowledge, engine expertise, and fundamental understanding of natural gas combustion principles, Assurance Compliance & Emissions Services is able to provide you with an array of operating services that go beyond just the standard state and federal compliance testing requirements.

Services that may help you improve the overall efficiency of your engines while possibly saving you money and unnecessary downtime.

The three main regulated emissions approved for compliance testing are as follows:
- Carbon Monoxide (CO) very poisonous
- Hydrocarbons or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) that are produced mostly from unburned fuel that evaporates
- Nitrogen Oxides (NO & NO2 together, make NOx)
